On Trying to Leave Truth Alone

Abstract According to a certain conception of language, any sentence can, when used on an occasion, have indefinitely many truth-conditions. Such language gives us reason think that the question whether notion truth has distinctive content cannot be settled by looking solely at predication truth. By focusing predicate ‘true’ trying determine significance truth, we may been in wrong place.
